They make it SO EASY to vend here. It’s super flexible. They provide a lot of space. And yeah, little creature comforts, like my son–he’s able to join. I feel super supported as a burgeoning small business.

It’s a wonderful atmosphere–I don’t have to worry about the wind or bringing the overhead canopy. The restrooms are close. And the people–the people are SO friendly, SO professionals, SO willing to help you, and the staff–there’s even security people–very nice!

Fan Favorite: Jalapeño Cheddar Beer Bread
As a small business owner, it’s very difficult to find places to pop-up that aren’t super expensive. And any opportunity to bring in income for a small business owner is always huge.

I do want to make sure I’m available where people can find me and try my food. I’m thinking of alternating my menu items since it’s such a big menu, but I am open to suggestions so if anybody wants me to cook certain things, just let me know!

We’re brand new. We just have a fighting spirit and we’re just gonna figure it out as we go. But we do create Bingsu (Fluffy Korean Shaved Ice made with milk)–that’s our main thing. But we also do beverages and will have a rotating menu as the seasons come of Asian desserts in general.

This was our first time not serving inside my kitchen at home. Given the current climate and how expensive real estate is or getting a lease anywhere, it’s really hard to have a space and experiment and try stuff and see what the feedback is for people in real time so you can improve your product.

We’re introducing a new concept. Everyone thinks snow cones, so I’m trying to reintroduce the idea of there’s different ways to do it.

We sold out of basically everything here.I think it was really exciting for us to get the opportunity to sell here today. I was surprised at how many people came by and wanted to try sago because I think a lot of people haven’t heard of it before. Sago is like a mini version of boba. It’s like mini tapioca pearls in a pudding form. And then there’s corn or fruit inside. So it was pretty surprising to get to introduce people to that.

My best seller is the Navajo Blue Corn Cookies. It draws on my Navajo culture–Juniper ash, because we make it right.

Albuquerque is so rich in terms of community. And here at Talin, it’s special a lot of environment. It’s really a blessing to have AC in New Mexico. It makes for a really comfortable experience. Shout-out to the owners for giving us this amazing space. Lots of ambiance and vibes with everything going on.

It was a really good day. There were a lot of customers. The flow was really good. People turned out for this and they seemed to really enjoy it. We specialize in long earrings. I think we sold 10+ earrings, which is really good for a day. The biggest seller was the seeds that we have. My dad is from Santa Domingo Pueblo and he harvests the seeds and he did really good today.

I also sell on the West Side, but we live in the neighborhood, and I would love to see this neighborhood grow.

We are all welcoming. Don’t be scared. Don’t be shy. You learn from other vendors. You learn tips. Things as far as getting your business registered with the City. They’re really helpful if you just ask questions. The Economic Development Department was here and they were very nice.
