Lots of gratitude to our City of Albuquerque for being part of this hackathon from the beginning.
It feels great to officially mark the return of New Mexico’s LARGEST software hackathon as I wrap up my year stint as a FUSE Executive Fellow embedded in the Office of Equity & Inclusion.
Coming from a tech background with always being the “Zero-to-Launch” person, supporting community-driven innovation and creative problem solving is close to my heart. What better way to celebrate the end of my FUSE Executive Fellowship than serve as both an organizer and mentor on behalf of city resources + sponsor local innovation on behalf of Data With Style™!
Enjoy the Demos
3 minutes is not a lot of time to present the problem you’re solving + your real software solution, but hackers did amazing. Not everyone can do what they did, but we want to encourage everybody to try! Desert Dev Lab is for the software engineer and product designer who want to challenge themselves to create a real functioning prototype that could turn into a real startup after the event wraps.
RSVP to hack @ #DDL27
Desert Dev Lab’s 2027 event is already accepting hackers.

As a farmer and mentor, my biggest takeaway was the immediate utility of what was built. Seeing these groups develop marketable products in two days–some of which I could use right now–was amazing.
The Hackathon is built and run on integrity, ingenuity, passion, and community. The ideas that emerged this weekend will surely become real working solutions because of this.
Returning to the hackathon this year after winning last year with OptiGreen was an exciting and rewarding experience. It was inspiring to see so many people come together to create ideas that can make a real difference.
Being part of the NM Tech Talk Hackathon was an incredibly positive experience. As a Taos-based company rooted in native botanicals, it was especially meaningful for us to support local farms and agriculture through this partnership.
